Jeff Benincosa BS., EMT, Director of Operations
Jeff stated his Emergency Service involvement back in the late 80’s at the age of 16. He immediately developed a passion for Emergency Medicine and the classroom and returned as a volunteer instructor, donating over 1000 hours of his time at the age of 17 and 18 to the EMS Programs.
Since that time, Jeff has lectured many hours, not only for his own business but also through his affiliation with other organizations. His responsibilities with this training center include functioning as a Training Coordinator, Course Coordinator and lead Instructor for various NAEMT programs. Jeff serves as the BLS/ALS Support Training Coordinator for various EMS programs and managed all of their BLS/ALS Training and EMT Programs.
Jeff strives to not only provide skills-training and emergency awareness in his classes, but to ensure that his students fully understand the material and are one hundred percent ready, able and willing to act with full confidence in the event of a true emergency.
Jeff is an active member of Somerset Area Ambulance Assocition and the Boswell Volunteer Fire Department. While working at Somerset Area Ambulance Service Jeff works as an EMT and is also the Outreach Coordinator
Hayden Geisweidt- Director of Education
Hayden started his EMS career in 2012 working with West End and Hilltop Ambulance Services. Hayden attended IUP to obtain his certication as Emergency Medical Technician. Hayden started his teaching career April 2014 and was instrumental in developing B&G Public Safety Academy, Inc.
Prior to starting up B&G Public Safety Academy, Inc. Hayden enlisted in the United States Army April 2013 and since then has completed his training and gruadated in February 2014. Since graduated from training Hayden has return home to continue his public safety career.
Nick began his emergency service career at the age of 14 as a volunteer firefighter. While still in high school, he attended night classes to become certified as an EMT at 16. Even though still in school, Nick volunteered after school and on weekends at his local ambulance service. Following in his grandfather's footsteps, he was employed by Tri-Community Ambulance in Bolivar at the age of 18. Nick's grandfather was the president of the service and one of their first EMT's back in the 60's. During his service at Tri-Community, Nick rose to the rank of Supervisor at 19 and was tasked with the services' Immediate Response Personnel (IRP) group operations as well as day to day operations.
When Tri-Community closed in 2004 Nick moved to Laurel Valley Ambulance Service in New Florence, where he currently works full time. He is also employed by Citizens Ambulance Service of Indiana for their IRP group and special events, as well as Lifestat Ambulance Service of Saltsburg for their special event team.
At the age of 18 he also undertook the American Heart Association CPR/First Aid instructor course and has taught through Latrobe Hospital, Fayette EMS and now Somerset Training Center. Nick is currently completing teaching hours to become a certified EMS Instructor.
Not only serving on the ambulance, Nick is a firefighter and former Lieutenant for Fairfield Township Vol. Fire Co. There he handles in house classroom and static drills and is the EMS Liaison for the company.
Now, at age 28 Nick is living with his new wife in his hometown of Fairfield Township. Nick hopes to continue his career in EMS and as he enjoys "woods life", becoming a Wilderness EMT as well as Wilderness Instructor.
